Tour Plan
Leave Hanoi for 6 hour road trip to Lao Cai City. Lunch break in Lao Cai. Drive after lunch for an hour uphill to Sapa. Turning to a narrow tarmac for 8km to Sa Seng Village of the Black H’mong. Get off the vehicle at the highest point of the motorway where the whole fascinating valley of Sa Seng opens wide. Start the two hours walking trip from here. Hike along the village path which winds its way among terraced fields from hamlet to hamlets, enjoy stunning scenery which changes after every corner and bend as well as drop in some local homes, meet H’mong peoples who live their quiet life in small wooden houses. The walk ends up at about 5.30pm as the village path meets the motorway where vehicle and driver waiting. Picked up and transferred to hotel in Sapa. Check in. Dinner will be served at 07.00pm in a local restaurant.
If you’re looking for an authentic experience in Sapa, look no further than Golden Trekking Tours. The hiking trails were well-paced and offered incredible views of the valley and rice terraces. I particularly enjoyed interacting with the local ethnic minorities. It’s a great way to connect with nature and culture.
